Even though this is part of the diploma course it is still only an introduction. The field of cosmology and relativity is now expanding so quickly and the mathematics so complex that it is hard to "keep it simple". The following material is a summery of the notes by B. Prosser and N. Frogel and used here under the copyright provisions detailed below.
